Day Ten: How you felt about 2010 and what you expect in 2011?
2010 was a year full of adventures, good friends, and lessons learned the hard way. I‘m turning 21 this coming year, so I’m expecting a lot ;)
Say that five times fast.
I just rang in the Netherland’s new year with a good friend.

Day Seven: An event that impacted your year?
Every day.
Day Eight: Your greatest low of this year, and have you learned anything from it?
The sudden loss of a big brother. Life is a gift. Treasure it and live it always to the fullest. Never take anything for granted; especially loved ones. You don’t want to realize how precious people are to you when it’s too late.
Day Nine: Did you stay true to your 2010 New Years Resolution?
I honestly don’t even remember what my 2010 Resolution was. Oops. Haha.
Our words were so trivial
And never matched the depths
Of our thoughts. This morning
Our eyes met,
And a hundred emotions
Rushed through our veins.” —“To the Tune ‘Glittering Sword Hilts’” by Liu Yu Hsi; Englished by Kenneth Rexroth (via aclockwithouthands)
today i had a conversation with an unpretentious stranger and it was wonderful.
- Boyfriend: Your parents acted like children through the whole divorce and your dad screwed up more than once.
- Me: And my mom was cold hearted. Ice queen. I got that from her. That's my parents, fire and ice. Dad, fire. Mom, ice. Me, both. Yikes.
- Boyfriend: Me, ground. I can handle it both.
Day Four: A person that impacted your year?
My friends, who have become family.
Day Five: Did you change yourself this year at all?
If I change, it’s not because I want to, but because I’m growing.
Day Six: A new lesson you learned this year?
Don’t just know your values; practice them. Because when you get tested, it really is muscle memory.
Greeting cards have all been sent
The Christmas rush is through
But I still have one wish to make
A special one for you
Merry Christmas, darling
We’re apart, that’s true
But I can dream
And in my dreams
I’m Christmasing with you-The Carpenters
